those are funny...but I'm with Kaity...i don't really understand the first one...sorry...I'm kinda slow!

By the way, (and I should probably put this comment on the post about it, but I'm sure you'll forgive me) today I was on my way to the nursing home to sing after church, and I was in Madison and we were just driving along and I happened to look to my left and guess what I saw! Go ahead...guess! A LENNY'S SUB SHOP! I was riding with my friend and when I saw it I went "We DO have one!" and she kinda looked at me like "excuse me?". Anyway...I thought that was an interesting story...and she informed me that we have about 3 around our area...which was news to me. Anyway...you learn something new everyday!

Oh MY. (to borrow a phrase from Lacey ;)
I love the Far Side!

I think that's more like
"Oh maaaaaaa."

(short a... sort of)

(well, more like the vowel sound of a fluffy lamb going 'baaaaa' --only without the nasal vibrato effect.)

(actually, on second (third?) thought, I just think it's a vowel sound that Lacey invented and therefore has no standard phonetic designation nor onomatopoeiac equivalent.)

We are the overanalysation specialists!!! Oh YEAH!!

As for the far-famed Lacy Oh My, if you can imagine a hybrid of 'A' and 'I' you will have something like it.

As to the first one; I would explain it, but it really would not end up being more satisfying to anyone - including me.

Every time I watch that new Coke commercial with the polar bear family and the penguins, I keep expecting it to end in absolute carnage, only to be disappointed each time.

I'm with Becca. I laugh at the FiFi cartoon every time, and then glance guiltily over my shoulder to make sure no one actually heard me.

hmm...I didn't realize my "oh my" would become so famous...
